About me
Getting to know me
A structured space for clarity, insight, and forward movement
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, and I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy. I am a full dual member of both the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I work within their professional codes of ethics.
Alongside my counselling training, I bring over 25 years’ experience working within a local authority, supporting individuals, couples, families, and older adults through some of life’s most difficult moments. My work has spanned outreach support, crisis intervention, safeguarding, and helping people navigate complex health, welfare, housing, and education systems.

I also volunteered within NHS Drug & Alcohol Services under Inclusion Mental Health & Wellbeing an experience that deepened my understanding of trauma, addiction, and the importance of meeting people exactly where they are, without judgement.
That breadth of experience shapes everything about how I work. I bring both clinical knowledge and a very human understanding of what it means to struggle, to seek help, and to begin again.

About me
How I work
I originally trained in the psychodynamic approach, which gave me a deep appreciation for how our past experiences and unconscious patterns shape who we are today. However, I practice as an integrative, pluralistic counsellor because I believe there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ therapy. While I still value the psychodynamic lens, I now draw on a wide range of therapeutic methods, working collaboratively with you to find the approach that best fits your unique needs at any given time.

Psychodynamic
therapy
Exploring how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns shape the way you feel and behave today.

Person-centred
practice
You lead. I listen, reflect, and offer a non-judgemental space where you are free to explore at your own pace

Cognitive behavioural
approaches
Understanding how thoughts influence feelings and behaviours — and how to gently shift unhelpful patterns.

Integrative &
tailored
No single approach fits everyone. I adapt my practice to suit your individual needs, goals, and way of working.
